NAVAREA XIX Warnings

NAVAREA warnings will be broadcast twice daily at the following times: NAVAREA XIX (AOR-E) at 0630UTC and 1830UTC.

About NAVAREA XIX - NORWAY

The Norwegian Coastal Administration is responsible for coordinating NAVAREA XIX, as part of the IMO/IHO World-Wide Navigational Warning Service (WWNWS).

NAVAREA XIX will promulgate navigational warnings as part of a numbered series in accordance with the Joint IMO/IHO/WMO Maritime Safety Information Manual.

Navigational Warnings are sent on Safety Net to an area covering the waters between East Greenland and the Russian border and extends from 65°N of the Norwegian coast and up to the North Pole.

Positions at or above 76°N will be broadcast both on SafetyNet and on High Frequency Direct-Printing Telegraph System (HF NBDP) frequency 8416,5 kHz.

NAVAREA warnings will be broadcast twice daily at the following times: NAVAREA XIX (AOR-E) at 0630UTC and 1830UTC.

The provision of  NAVAREA warnings on this website is not intended to be a substitute for, or an alternative to the International Safety Net service, and does not relieve Masters/Captains of their responsibility to monitor MSI broadcasts in accordance with the provisions of SOLAS.
