On Thursday 23rd of April 2015, the "Global Approach to e-navigation" conference will take place in Singapore.
A variety of current e-navigation themes, such as MEH (Marine Electronic Highways), the impact on decision-making, and implications of the e-navigation solutions, will be discussed during the conference.
The conference will be held in connection with the Singapore Maritime Technology conference, which will take place on the same day.
The Norwegian Coastal Administration is one of the cooperative partners of the conference.
40 Years Since the Bravo Blow Out – what has been done since then?
Many people remember the uncontrolled blow out at the “Bravo” platform in the North Sea in 1977. Some people also remember the hero of the moment, Red Adair, flown in to stop the spill. For those of us who work with emergency preparedness for oil recovery operations, the Bravo accident marks the beginning of the strengthening and development of Norwegian emergency preparedness for oil recovery operations.
