The objective of the amendments is to optimize the effect of the routeing systems, and to harmonize the systems so that they apply to the same categories of ships.
The amendment also includes adding two new traffic separation schemes and establishment of recommended routes between the existing traffic separation schemes and the new ones.
In addition, todays three ships’ routeing systems are consolidated into one routeing system called ”Off the Coast of Norway”.
