About us

The NCA is a transport agency under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries. We ensure safe and efficient traffic in fairways and into ports, and a national preparedness against acute pollution.

    The Norwegian Coastal Administration (NCA) reports to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, and is a national agency for coastal management, maritime safety and emergency preparedness against acute pollution.

    The Norwegian Coastal Administration (NCA) is divided into functions or areas of activity (functional organisation), headed by the Director General.
