Changes in navigation at Måløy Bridge (Måløybrua) from 21 June 2021

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration is carrying out maintenance work on the Måløy Bridge (Måløybrua) in Vestland County in 2020/21. Work on the western side of the bridge will start on June 21, 2021, thereby reducing the sailing height in the western fairway to 33 metres. The work will be completed on 30 November 2021.

The work at Måløy Bridge will result in a change in sailing patterns and navigational aids.

There will be a listening guard service on VHF channel 16, available 24 hours a day. Vessels planning to sail under the Måløy Bridge are requested to make contact on VHF channel 16 approximately 10 minutes before passage, to provide information on the planned route.

  • Eastern fairway: reduced sailing height to 34 meters from 31 July 2020 to 20 June 2021
  • Western fairway: reduced sailing height to 33 meters from 21 June 2021 to 30 November 2021

Mariners planning voyages in the area are encouraged to follow the Norwegian Coastal Administration at www.facebook.com/Maaloybrua – for important information about the work and sailing patterns at Måløy Bridge during the maintenance period.

We ask everyone who plan to sail in this area to get updates prior to voyage, and to listen actively on VHF channel 16 and use extra caution when underway.
