DGPS service discontinued

As of today, 27 January 2026, the Norwegian Coastal Administration’s DGPS service in Norway has been discontinued. The decision to discontinue the service was made after thorough assessment and consultation. Since the 1990s, DGPS has contributed to more precise navigation, but today’s GPS receivers are far more advanced and have built-in accuracy monitoring.
