Important Information: Resubmit Your Consultation Responses

Due to a technical error, consultation responses with attachments sent to the Norwegian Coastal Administration after January 21st of this year have not been registered. This issue has affected one consultation. We therefore ask all who have submitted statements for the consultation on "Restrictions on sailing with passenger vessels over 150 meters in weather-exposed areas along the Norwegian coast" to resubmit their responses. We sincerely apologize that this error was not detected earlier.

A technical error in our digital consultation form has led to consultation responses with attachments submitted via our form not being recorded. The error has now been corrected, but the form solution will be deactivated until we have implemented an additional control mechanism to prevent this from reoccurring. During the period the technical error went undetected, only one consultation was active. Therefore, the error only affects the consultation "Restrictions on sailing with passenger vessels over 150 meters in weather-exposed areas along the Norwegian coast." The original consultation deadline was April 15th. We are therefore extending the consultation period to ensure that everyone who wishes to provide input can submit their statements.

We urge anyone who has submitted a consultation response through the digital solution after January 21st this year to resend their response to: post@kystverket.no. Please mark the email with: “Consultation Response – case number 2024/4632”

Submission deadline: May 31st.
The proposed regulations are set to take effect on September 1, 2025.

If you are unsure whether your response has been registered, it is safest to resubmit.

You can find the consultation documents here.

We understand this may be frustrating and we are doing everything we can to prevent this from reoccurring. We greatly appreciate all consultation responses—they are vital for ensuring a solid decision-making basis. Thank you for your patience and for contributing!
